Drayton Neighbourhood Development Plan – notice of decision under Regulation 18 of the Neighbourhood Planning (general) Regulations 2012

The Referendum for Drayton’s Neighbourhood Plan will be on Thursday 21st July 2016

In accordance with Regulation 18 of the neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Broadland district Council has decided to approve that the proposed Drayton Neighbourhood Plan proceeds to a local referendum, subject to specified modifications.

If adopted the Neighbourhood Plan will form part of the District Council’s development plan for the area and will be used in the determination of planning applications in the parish. The Neighbourhood Plan must be adopted by the local planning authority if greater than half of those who have voted in the referendum have voted in favour of the Plan.

The referendum will be held on 21 July 2016 and will be conducted in a similar fashion to local government elections. The area covered by the referendum will be the civil parish of Drayton (the Neighbourhood Plan area) and those eligible to vote will receive formal notice.
