POND at SUTER DRIVE
The pond and the surrounding area at Suter Drive is owned by Broadland District Council. The Environment Agency have carried out testing of the water following the discovery of dead fish.
It has been confirmed that the fish died as a result of white spot. The diesease was probably introduced into the pond by the addition of Goldfish or Koi by residents. Most of the dead fish have now been removed. It is likely that some of the dead fish are on the bottom of the pond but these will be left as distrubing the pond may spread the diesease. The pond was overstock fish and this has caused the diesease to spread. Maintenance work happens regularly and flows in and out of the pond are good.
